What is osCommerce?
- osCommerce is the leading Open Source online shop e-commerce solution. It has everything you need to get started in selling physical and digital goods over the internet with an Administration tool which allows you to handles your products, customers, orders, and online store data.
How do I install osCommerce within my current domain?

Can I purchase my own SSL?
- No. Globat only offers a shared SSL certificate.
I currently host my account with another company. Is it possible to move services without loosing any orders?
- With all transitions, there will always be some downtime. What we can do here is to minimize the downtime and, hopefully, be able to eliminate it as well. The following simple steps can help prevent any downtime:
- Purchase one of our hosting packages.
- When you receive your welcome email, you will have FTP access to your site by using the hostname of the server. You can verify you site with the temporary URL we send you in your welcome email.
- Once your site is set up on our servers, contact your registrar and change your DNS servers to point to ours:
Primary DNS Server: ns1.DNSjunction.com
Secondary DNS Server: ns2.DNSjunction.com

Can I use my site that I built in GoLive and just link the shopping cart or put the “add” to cart buttons on my product pages?
- It is possible to put a link to the shopping cart and add a cart button to your product pages but this will require manual coding.
Does the shopping cart have real time shipping rates for the FedEx, USPS, and UPS?
- osCommerce allows real-time quotes from (FedEx, USPS, and UPS).
How do I add SSL into my hosting account?
- All of our hosting plans come with a shared SSL certificate.
How do I manage my osCommerce?
- osCommerce has a built-in administration backend allowing you to manage all aspects of osCommerce.
If I reinstall osCommerce, will I lose my database?
- No. When you reinstall your osCommerce, please remember to uncheck the Reset DB checkbox and all the data in your database will be kept.
I cannot install osCommerce. What am I doing wrong?

If I move my current eCommerce site to your servers, am I able to use my existing shopping cart account?
- That will depend on the type of shopping cart you have and its requirements. For the most parts, if it runs on Unix/Linux and uses PHP/mySQL then it will likely be compatible.
