Generic FTP instructions

If you use a popular design package such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver, or popular clients such as CuteFTP or WS-FTP, you may wish to visit Using third party software which has step-by-step examples on configuring popular applications.

If you do not yet have a FTP client, there are several recommendations in the Support FAQ. Windows users with recent versions of Internet Explorer can also view our tutorial on using Internet Explorer's built-in FTP.

The most general information for FTP is as follows:

host: example.com
(example.com is replaced by your Globat domain name.)
username: your GCC account username
password: your GCC account password

If you've created a Web/FTP Subaccount using the Globat Command Console, the host is the same, and the username and password are those you assigned when creating the Web/FTP Subaccount.
