Create a New FTP Site Profile
- In the File menu, point to New and click on Site Profile.
- The Profiles dialog box will appear. In the Name box, type in a descriptive name for your site.
- In the Address box, type in your FTP server name, provided to you in the letter from Globat. It is in the form of "www.yourdomain.com."
- In the User name and Password boxes, enter your user name and password respectively. These are also included in the activation letter.
- Click on the Upload tab and browse to the location where you stored your web files from a popup window. Select the directory and click on the "OK" button (1). Click on the "OK" button (2) and double click on the profile name to connect to the FTP server.
- Once you are connected to the FTP server you will see the directory similar to the follow screenshot. Click on the httpdocs directory (the directory where all of the files and folders for your website should be storaged) to open it.
- An easy way to upload and download files is to open an Explorer window, and drag and drop files between Explorer and FTP Surfer. However, you can also click on the upload icon (1) and select the file(s) you want to upload than click on the "Open" button to start the upload process.
