Can I alter the length of my contract?

You will be renewed at the end of your contract term for the same contract term you had signed up with. If you wish to change to a different contract length (quarterly, annually, bi-annually, or tri-annually), you must want until your current term is up for renewal and then contact our billing department with your request. Please submit a help ticket (http://www.globat.com/about_us/contact_us/contactform.htm) if you would like to alter your contract.
Note: Account change requests must be made 15 days prior to your renewal date.

Can I change my account's ownership?

Yes, you can update your account with the new owner's information by logging into your GCC (https://login.globat.com) and accessing the Billing tab from the Account menu.
If you also need to change the domain registration ownership, please submit a help ticket (http://www.globat.com/about_us/contact_us/contactform.htm).

Why I am still receiving e-mails even though I am no longer a Globat.com customer?

If you are still receiving e-mails from Globat.com, you may not have filed a valid cancellation with our system. To prevent further emails, renewal notices and automatic renewals, you must use our official cancellation form (https://login.globat.com/cp2/cancel.php). Once we have processed the cancellation form, your account will be cancelled at the end of its paid term and you will no longer be charged, or receive e-mails from Globat.com.
Note: If your account is under the 30 day money back guarantee, your refund will be processed with in 10-15 business days.

Why has my site been suspended?

If your site has been suspended for billing related issues such as an unpaid balance, you must make a payment to reactivate your account. Please log into your Globat Command Console using the following link: https://login.globat.com/cp2/account.php?page=invoices to make a payment. Once the balance has been paid, your account will be reactivated.
You can also submit a help ticket (http://www.globat.com/about_us/contact_us/contactform.htm) to our billing department to make billing arrangements.
Note: If your site has been suspended due to exceeding bandwidth, you have the option to order additional bandwidth using the 1-Click Upgrade feature from within your GCC's account menu (https://login.globat.com), or by calling our sales department at 877-245-6228.

Domain Management

How do I unlock my domain name?

To unlock your domain name, you must first log into your Globat Command Console by visiting the following link: https://login.globat.com/cp2/domain_privacy.php. Once you are logged in, scroll down until you see the “Registrar Lock Status” section on this page. Then, you must uncheck the checked “check box” and click on the “Save” button (near the bottom of the page) to finalize the "unlocking" of your domain name. If you do not see the “Save” button you must first turn “Off” DomainPrivacyGuard at the top of the page.
Note: If you have DomainPrivacyGuard switched “On” you must first turn it “Off” to be able to lock or unlock your domain name. Once you lock or unlock your domain name, you can than turn on your DomainPrivacyGuard feature.

How do I lock my domain name?

To lock your domain name, you must first log into your Globat Command Console by visiting the following link: https://login.globat.com/cp2/domain_privacy.php. Once you are logged in, scroll down until you see the “Registrar Lock Status” section on this page. Then, you must check the unchecked “check box” and click on the “Save” button (near the bottom of the page) to finalize the “locking” of your domain name. If you do not see the “Save” button you must first turn “Off” DomainPrivacyGuard at the top of the page.
Note: If you have DomainPrivacyGuard switched “On” you must first turn it “Off” to lock or unlock your domain name. Once you make the necessary changes to your domain name, you can than turn on your DomainPrivacyGuard feature.


Can I gain access to my domain registration?

Yes, you can obtain access to your domain registration by contacting us by submitting a help ticket (http://www.globat.com/about_us/contact_us/contactform.htm). Please remember, if you are moving to another hosting provider, you must submit a cancellation request to avoid auto-renewal of your account.

Can I renew only my domain and not the hosting package?

Yes. However, you must submit a proper cancellation through the Globat Command Console (https://login.globat.com/cp2/cancel.php). Please make sure to clearly state your request to avoid confusion.
Note: You will be billed annually for your domain registration.

How do I update or change my domain name contact information?

To change your domain name contact information, you must first login to your Globat Command Console by visiting the following link: https://login.globat.com/cp2/domain_privacy.php. Once you are logged in, you will be able to modify the contact information of your domain name. Once you have modified the contact information, click on the “Save” button (near the bottom of the page) to finalize the change.
Note: If you do not see the “Save” button you must first turn “Off” DomainPrivacyGuard at the top of the page. This process may take up to 48 hours to complete.

What is DomainPrivacyGuard?

DomainPrivacyGuard is a premium feature that we offer to customers who do not want their personal contact information to be displayed, or searchable on the World Wide Web or on Whois portals. Once you activate the DomainPrivacyGuard feature, the system will change your contact information to reflect our company information. Thus, your identity is protected as you’ve expected.
Note: You can always turn the DomainPrivacyGuard feature “Off” to display your personal contact information at any time. This process may take up to 48 hours to complete.

How much does DomainPrivacyGuard cost?

The cost for DomainPrivacyGuard is $7.99 per year, and if you break down the cost, it is only 66 cents per month. This is the best and most cost effective way to protect your privacy.

How do I turn off my DomainPrivacyGuard?

The DomainPrivacyGuard feature can be turned off within 10 seconds. To deactivate this feature, you must first login to your Globat Command Console by visiting the following link: https://login.globat.com/cp2/domain_privacy.php.
Once you are logged in, the “Off” switch will be clearly visible in the middle of this page. Click on the Turn DomainPrivacyGuard “Off” button to deactivate this feature. A confirmation page will appear asking you to confirm the change, click on “Yes” to finalize the change or click on “No” to cancel your request.


How can I change my domain name?

You can change your domain name by requesting a "domain name change" using the 1-Click Upgrades option from within your Globat Command Console (https://login.globat.com).

How do I transfer my domain from my current registrar?

If at the time of signup you do not choose a new domain registration you will need to contact your current registrar and have them point your domain to the following servers:
NS1.DNSJUNCTION.COM
NS2.DNSJUNCTION.COM
Please note: this change may take up to 48 hours depending on the speed of the propagation.
If you choose to transfer your domain registration completely to Globat.com, please have your current registrar unlock the domain so that we are able to initiate a domain name transfer. Please submit a help ticket (http://www.globat.com/about_us/contact_us/contactform.htm) to start this process.
Note: This transfer may take 48-72 hours. There is $14.95 fee per transfer.

How do I change my username and password?

Due to server security, we do not allow customers to change their usernames. If you would like to change your password, please log into your Globat Command Console (https://login.globat.com) and select the "Edit your password" tab from within the Account menu.

How do I update my payment information?

If you would like to update your payment information, please log into your Globat Command Console from the following link: Invoices and Payment Options (https://login.globat.com/cp2/account.php?page=invoices). If the link does not directly take you to the “Update my payment” page, click on the Account icon in the top navigation bar, choose the Billing tab, and then the Invoices tab to gain access.

How can I obtain an invoice?

To obtain your invoice, please log into your Globat Command Console from the following link: https://login.globat.com/cp2/account.php?page=invoices. If the link does not directly take you to the “Invoice” page, click on the Account icon in the top navigation bar, choose Billing tab and then Invoices tab to view your invoices.

What are your accepted payment methods other than credit cards?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, and wire transfer (a $25.00 fee will apply on wire transfers payments).
Note: PayPal is not accepted at this time. Customers currently sending PayPal payments may continue to do so at paypal@globat.com

How do I ensure I will not be automatically renewed?

Please be advised that we do not recommend turning off automatic renewal. If you do, your account will be cancelled at the end of the term. Should the account be cancelled, a reinstatement fee will apply in addition to the normal service charges.

To turn off auto-renewal, please click on the following link: http://www.globat.com/cancel.htm and follow the instructions. You must contact us at least 15 days before the renewal date to ensure your cancellation is processed.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your account may be terminated by either party at the renewal/anniversary date by giving the other party notice at least 15 days prior to the renewal/anniversary date of the term (Customers need to follow the instructions provided at http://www.globat.com/cancel.htm), or by Globat.com in the event of nonpayment by Customer or by Globat.com, at any time, without notice, if in Globat.com's sole judgment Customer has in any way breached this Agreement (Termination for Cause).

How do I cancel my account?

Please follow the instructions provided at http://www.globat.com/cancel.htm.

Note: This is the only way to effectively cancel your Web hosting account with Globat.com and meet potential deadlines to trigger GLOBAT.COM'S LIMITED MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE or to avoid AUTOMATIC RENEWAL. Any cancellation requests sent to or directed to GLOBAT.COM by email and or phone and or regular mail WILL NOT GUARANTEE A CANCELLATION of your account, nor a REFUND.

How do I cancel additional services on my account?

Please follow the instructions provided at http://www.globat.com/cancel.htm.

Note: Once you have successfully processed your add-on package cancellation, you will be able to use the particular add-on until the end of its term. The add-on will not renew on your next account renewal date.

What is your refund policy?

All sales are final—except for a cancellation within the first thirty (30) days of purchase of a TeraByte Web Hosting Package (known as "Limited Money-Back Guarantee"), there is no "Cooling-Off Period" and Customer can not cancel this Agreement, other than as provided in paragraph 3.2 of the Terms of Service agreement, prior to the end of the Term as provided herein in for any reason.
If Customer cancels this Agreement before the end of the term, Customer shall receive no refund for any prepaid hosting fees and any such fees shall be forfeited. In the event that a package from the TeraByte series is combined with any other service, then the Limited Money-Back Guarantee shall not apply. In the event that Customer cancels within thirty (30) days of ordering a package from the TeraByte series and not any other package, including but not limited to the eSite, by completing the Cancellation Request Form, Globat.com will refund the prepaid hosting fees only to Customer. Any setup fees, fees for additional services, as well as fees paid for domain name registration ($14.95 per domain) are always non-refundable. Any promotional domain name registration will be billed at $14.95 per domain and subtracted from any prepaid hosting fees before any Money-Back Guarantee refund is processed.
Customer acknowledges and agrees agrees that following the instructions provided at http://www.globat.com/cancel.htm is the ONLY WAY TO EFFECTIVELY CANCEL a Web hosting account with Globat.com so that potential deadlines are met to trigger Globat.com's Limited Money-Back Guarantee or to avoid automatic renewal.
