To use PromoPak, Log in to the GCC (https://login.globat.com/) and click the PromoPak Button.

The PromoPak feature of Globat's GCC will aid you in improving your search engine rankings.

Within the PromoPak, you can check your current rankings at many engines at one time, instead of visiting each engine separately (which could end up being very time-consuming).

PromoPak also has a submit feature that will allow you to submit your site to over 35 search engines.

Before you submit your site, we recommend you review some of the Marketing Tips articles listed at the bottom of the PromoPak page. They will aid you in deciding how to best optimize your pages for the best possible search engine rankings.

Using Site Ranker

To use Site Ranker to check your rankings at popular search engines, simply select "Site Ranker" from within the PromoPak menu, and then enter the following information:

• Your Site's Web Address (URL)
• Your Email Address
• The Keyword(s) you want to check for ranking

Here's an example: say your site sells SCUBA gear. You'd want to check popular phrases such as "SCUBA gear" or "SCUBA gear reviews." If your company has good name recognition, you could search for that also, so if you were Bob's Discount Hardware you could simply search for "Bob's Discount Hardware" if you suspect that is how someone would desire to find your web site.

If you would like to improve your rankings, please read a few of the articles in the Marketing Tips section of the PromoPak. Then, Submit your Site!

Using Site Submitter

To use Site Submitter, click the "Site Submitter" link within the PromoPak.

Enter all relevant information. In the Description, try to keep it detailed yet concise: one to two clearly written sentences is usually appropriate.

For Keywords, use words that are also on your web page or in the title of your web page for maximum effectiveness.

After you finish the Submit, check the Inbox of the Email Address you used to submit the site. Several of the search engines may require you to click a confirm link before you are added to their index.

You may wish to print out a copy of the list of search engines used by Site Submitter. If you run Site Ranker a month or two later (recommended) and don't notice a listing, make sure it was on the Site Submitter list. If it was not, you may need to submit your site manually to that particular search engine.

Tips

Before submitting your site, make sure your title describes your site (some people forget to even change the title when using a design program) and add META description and keyword tags. These are vital for some search engines.

Make sure the keywords used are in paragraphs of text on your main page. If your site is about SCUBA gear, do not have a huge JPG or Flash file, but neglect to mention the words SCUBA gear in text. Text inside a graphic or Flash file generally do not help your search engine rankings.

Most rankings are not made overnight: they can take as little as a day, but as long as several months.
